Proud and happy birthday

So very proud when I saw the topic Layout of the week at Backporch Memories. My "mijn oma" layout (see topic below) is chosen by Tami and here's what she said: "What a classy vintage layout! Such a beauty!!"

I'm so happy!

And it's Mara's birthday today. We celebrated it last sunday with family and neighbours but today we also have some cake and she's treating the class to some home made brownies and cookies. She's so happy with her gifts. All horse riding gear and Playmobil stables, also a Diary and books. Happy birthday sweet girly, 10 years, what a mile stone.

Will put in a photo of her later today.

Birds beware and a card

See here our Mr. Darcy. Turned into a big and fast cat. He catches mice and is crazy about birds that fly by. So he used the birdhouse as a watchtower. He has a bell around his neck so the birds (and we) hear him coming. He is so cute!

This is the card that I made for Monique's Timothy. I used paper by Heidi Swapp and the stamped image is from Whiff of Joy. The silver paint is from Ranger (paint dabber) and I used my Copic Markers for coloring the image.

Wij Dus sketch

Het blog Wij Dus hebben iedere 1e en 15e van de maand een challenge staan, waar ik nu voor het eerst wat heb mee gedaan. Het is zo'n leuke sketch. Ik vond een oude foto van mijn oma die perfect past bij het Delish Design papier. Ik vind dit wel een heel mooie lijn, het heet Bistro, met leuke kaartjes, stickers en letters erbij.
De papieren bloemen heb ik met de Cuttlebug (Spellbinders flowers) uit gestansd en omgekruld.
De meeste bloemen zijn van Prima, net als de rhinestones. Inkt is Cat's eye Pinecone en Rangers' distress ink, Antique Linen. Brads van Heidi Swapp
Ik heb nog veel meer oude foto's gevonden .......

Kit layout for lift the DT challenge

There is a great challenge going on on My Creative Scrapbook, to lift a layout from a DT member. One of my favorite layouts of Gabi is this one: So here is mine:

I had fun scrappin' today with the new kit. Not the colors I usually choose but that makes me coming out of my comfort zone, I guess.

Little shop of sketches

This is Laura's sketch, guest designer at Little shop of sketches.

And this is what I made of it! It was a challenge to use so many photo's but I'm glad how it turned out. It was a great change to use all these pics.
Paper is Basic Grey, alphabet is Thickers, flowers Prima and the heart is from Heidi Swapp

Card Mothers day

This sweet card I made for Mothersday.

Paper is MME and Webster Pages. Flowers and leaves are Prima. The edges are inked with a cats eye "pine".

These are the Copic's that I used. Only one Spica marker in pink for the edges on the dress. Too bad you don't really see it on the card.

The kids really spoiled me with mothers day! Breakfast in bed, lots of presents and we went for tea and cake on our bicycle trip. I've had a wonderful day!

Card Sarah Kay

Yesterday I made this cute card with an image of Sarah Kay. I bought

me some new purple shades of Copics and had to use them right away. The paper I once got from a dear friend, sorry but I have no idea what brand it is.

Flowers are Prima and the punch is Martha Stewart's. The senitment is from Inkadinkado. I also used my edge distresser by Heidi Swapp and tea dye distress ink by Ranger.

These are the Copic's I used, for some glitter I also used the Spica Lavender and clear.

Batavia Stad

Yesterday we went to Batavia stad (outlet city) for the first time. The weather was not that good but we had no rain. Mara was not so happy cause she hurt her elbow and was feeling sad. Lots of shops, we've seen lots of them from the inside. Ger and Robin bought jeans and shirts at Tom Tailors. No luck for Mara, her favorite Allstars sneakers were sold out.
The Batavia was very nice to see. Next time we will visit the yard and the ship.

So happy with my latest toy: the cuttlebug! It needs some getting to know how it all works. I have a Nestabilities die (square) and some embossing dies. Another Nestie die (round) is on it's way from the USA.
I also ordered some yummy MME paper and Prima flowers and butterflies.

This is one of the Rhodondendorons in our garden that's in full bloom. So pretty!
It sure is spring!
