Bird is the Word

Hi all, hope you are enjoying your week, are you creating?

I should be but I have to work a lot this week.

I hope to set up a new canvas this weekend and I have a layout to make.

It's time for another Bird is the Word challenge word

I bet you can think of lots of layouts, cards and altered items with Magic in your title.

Here's mine:

It turned out a bit too blue. I started on a white piece of Bazzil and sprayed the edges with Glimmer Mist. Then stamped with the Background stamps of Glitz design.

I love the Teresa Collins papers and I even used my sewing machine!

List of supplies:

Bazzil cardstock white

Teresa Collins, on the Edge collection

Glimmer Mist, riptide, black magic and electric blue

Kaisercraft wooden flourishes

Distress ink, black soot and vintage photo

Paint dabber gold

MM paint white

Cosmo Cricket tiny type

Dymo lable writer

Martha Stewart writing pen ebony

Heidi Swapp side clips

brads and overlay unknown

I hope you will play along with our challenge at the blog and read all about the prize to win

Have a wonderful week and I hope your weather will be as good as our saturday looks like!

You have seen all the gorgeous projects of the Design Team so far

Mieke Nagtegaal (yep, that's me!)

well here's my project

I've created a canvas 40x50 cm instead of the usual layout.

This was so much fun! Will do this a lot more.

First I started with Gesso on the canvas, then I used two colors of MM paint mixed with Gesso to build up a layer.

Then I got my basket of sprays and lots of Glimmer Mist gave that bit of shine to it.

A Tattered Angels Screen with Clearsnap Smooch Spritz was used for the swirl. Love that stuff. It came with my Donna Salazar kit. Awsome spritz!!

Then it was time to build up with papers (Donna Salazar Trunk in the Attic, Grandma's Garden and the Crafty Chronicle)

Other supplies used:
Distress Ink
Distress Stain
Glossy Accents
Dusty Attic Bird cage and butterfly
May Arts ribbon
Tim Holtz fragments
Twinklets Diamond Dust (see them on the roses?)
Prima Flowers Primrosa Woodland
Prima say it in pearls

Anyway, about the blog hop, to win the wonderful prize sponsored by Tidtitz in Time, a wonderful scrapbook kit, become a follower on the Bird is the Word blog and all the Designers.

An epiphany

WOooooooohhhhhhhhhhoooooo!!! I'm jumping up and down, so excited!!!

This hairband I made in Ommen with a Prima flower, a piece of Prima packaging under a one inch Epiphany piece. Along with some rhinestones from Hotfix.
DD loved it and looks like EC did too! lol!
So thankful
(Monique..... finally on the same team again!)
I can't wait to start playing with the tools!
More good news but that will take some time to show is that I'm getting 2 layouts published in the best selling UK Scrapbook Magazine! But it will not be till november before it's published.
