more playing

I was putting some alu foil over my home made cake when I thought that I could use the foil for a nice egde. So I got me a cardstock heart shape......And put it around the edge of the heart.
Then it got messy ..........

With Gesso that is!

I put lots of it on the foil and sprayed it, while still wet, with Glimmer Mist and Shimmerz Spritz in blue, gold and red.

I can't show you yet what I made, if you go to CHA it will be in Nikki Sivils booth and ofcourse around CHA it will be here on my blog.

Have been playing

So I have been playing a bit with Shimmerz Paints and Rangers' Glossy Accents on Nikki Sivils paper flowers made with Spellbinders dies and the Cuttlebug.

I used Angels Wings and Pink Shimmerz.

Angel Wings all around and the Pink only at the edges

This is how it turned out together with the Nikki Sivils brads.

sweet dreams

Last sketch Little Shop of Sketches

Here the last sketch from Tanya Leigh for Little Shop of sketches this year. Tanya is taking a break and will be back next year with more wonderful sketches.

This is my take of the sketch, I used another "old" Xmas line that I had in my box. It's from Paper Salon called Dazzle. Love the colors, used some of the rub-ons and lots of MM paint on the edges. The alpha I made with my Silhouette, the first time I tried it out and look at that... it works! Lol! If only I had more time to figure out how it all works, if only there were more hours in a day.........

Now I'm off to do lots of work for Nikki Sivils, I won't be showing that soon cause it's for CHA.

I can tell you it's with a familiar line and with a new line (yeah! looking so good!).

Winter

It's winter in the Netherlands, we haven't had this much snow in years and it's so cold!

No public transport, trains are late or not riding at all.

Lots of traffic problems but we are having so much fun!
It's going to snow some more this night, can't wait to see what the world looks like tomorrow.

DT Call at Nikki Sivils

Check it out,

Nikki is having a DT call to welcome two new Willie B's Doghouse Diva's on the team!

It's for a short period, from February to May but don't let that stop you.

Little Shop of sketches #61

I used "old" paper by Rhonna Farrer (2007). It's still such great paper.

The stars and the silver thingie is just plane chipboard covered in heat embossing.

canvas and little tree

Yesterday we celebrated Sinterklaas, Christmas and DH's birthday in one day with my parents and the inlaws. We had a wonderful day. Sorry for a blurry photo.

I had not much time to make pics cause there was a hungry bunch of family waiting to start eating!
I spend my saturday in the kitchen as you can see.
Had no clue what so ever as to what to give to the inlaws for a present so my creative spirit spoke to me and I created two pieces of canvas 20x20 cm.

This is the mother of my father in law.

I used the Savannah line from 7 Gypsies with Prima flowers and crystals.
On the flowers I used my favorite Shimmerz Paints.

This is the mother of my mother in law
Same paper line, different crystals also from Prima and also Prima flowers.

I also altered a wooden Xmas tree with Grunge board sprayed with Shimmerz Spitz,

Flowers colored with Shimmerz Paints and some Ranger Stickles.

The tree is sprayed in green with Glimmer Mist.

Not completely done by the looks of it....

I totally forgot to glue some hotfix stones on the flowers...... Sorry!

Sketch #58 Little Shop of Sketches

Here's my layout for Little Shop of sketches, Sketch #58 by Tanya Leigh.

I used the My Creative Scrapbook kit of November with lots of Teresa Collins papers

I cut out the flower and put some ice blue Stickles on the edges.

Blue flowers are Bo Bunny and other flowers by Petaloo

Swirls by Prima and the die cut paper is by Creative Imaginations

I love the transparency. It fits just right!

Mara is riding a very big horse here. He's so sweet, and she did a great job.
