Bird is the Word

Better late then never as they say......

A new word for Bird is the Word is due on my blog so here it is.

Begin / Beginning / Beginnings

My layout is about having a new kitty in our new home.

A few years ago our old cat past away and we've didn't get a new one straight away.

I did miss having a cat around so when we moved to our new home I started looking for a new one. First weeks I had no luck until I saw this add of a tiny 3 colored kitten. There she was. Our little Smoes (means something like excuse). She's special to me, a bit pig-headed and she know's how to cath mice!

I started out with a piece that I torn from a box, misted it with Smooch Spritz, Distress Ink on the edges and added some drops of Glimmer Glaze.

The heart is cut out a piece of Grungeboard, with a Tim Holtz die and heat embossed with Ranger's distress embossing powder. The bottom piece is red with Smooch from Clearsnap

Supplies:

Bazzil cardstock white

Clearsnap Smooch and Smooch spritz

AC Thickers Puffy

La Blance stamp

Tim Holtz dies

Distress Ink and embossing powder

Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze

Glimmer Mist on the swirl

Thanks for looking!

Hugs

Bird is the Word

Again a new word for Bird is the Word blog.

Forever

So that got me thinking, what is forever? Well to me that is family.

This photo is of my mom and dad and little me.

I used Nadia's sketch that you can find on the blog. It's such a nice one and you know I love to work with sketches!

I used the Prima Marketing Spring collection with lots of Prima flowers, the small ones covered in Shimmerz. I had not used it in a while and it was a bit dryed up. Just added some water and it worked wonders again.

The dots are made with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze.

Check out the blog to see the new DT girlies! It's so nice to meet you all girls and love what you did with the word and the sketch.

Enjoy your week,

Hugs

Little Shop of Sketches

This fornight flew by, it's time again for a Tanya Leigh sketch for Little Shop of Sketches.

I used the new spring collection of Prima Marketing. Felt like this layout didn't need much more then the lovely text of the Prima paper and the always wonderful Webster Pages blooms.

supplies:

Bazzil cardstock white

Distress Ink tea dye and bundled sage

Clearsnap smooch spritz (on the edge of the cardstock and to give the alpha a bit of shine)

Prima Sparkling Spring collection

Prima say it with crystals (don't you just love those petit flowers in there?)

Jillibean Soup corrugated craft alpha's

My Little Shoebox mini alphabet stickers quicksand

Webster Pages bloomers

That's all, not much for my doing right? lol!

Come join our sketches at the ning site of Little Shop and see what the DT made of the sketch on the blog.

Have a wonderful week!

Hugs,

Mieke
