Sneak peak and Happy Newyear

Hi all, hope you are enjoying the last day of the year. It has gone by so fast!
Never scrapped so much as this year but my goal is to scrap even more the coming year and find me some nice DT's!
As you might have noticed, I have a new blinkie here on the blog, I have the honor to be on the wonderful new Challenge Blog that is part of Tidbitz in Time. It's called Bird is the Word and you will find the first challenge and layouts of this amazing talented team in a few days.
This sneak peak is not for the new DT, it's something I'm doing for myself. It's not completely finished because my printer failed on me but you will get an idea with this photo.

Well, that leaves me with saying have a happy and creative New Year.
Be safe!

Hugs,
Mieke

Little Shop of Sketches

There is a new sketch... no I don't say this right, there are two new sketches on Little Shop of Sketches made by our Guest sketch artist Danielle Young.
I've done only this sketch, thing are a bit chaotic now around the holidays.
My fellow DT members have done such a great job on both sketches.

I used the My Creative Scrapbook december main kit, full of wonderful papers and embellishments.
Supplies:
MM paper music note ledger Noël
Bo Bunny Noël chipboard, combo stickers alpha's, holly berry wraps and paper
Teresa Collins Noël chipboard frames
Distress Ink Barn Door and Vintage Photo.
The floral is by Prima
I cut out the leaves real carefull and placed that over the piece of paper.

The little girl is me, on the left is my mum and on the right a dear friend of the family.

Thank you for looking again,
wishing you a very merry Xmas, enjoy your days and I hope to be back before the year ends.
~hugs~

sneak peak

Hi girls, I have a little sneak peak for you that will be on the LadyBug and Friends blog the 17th of this month.
I don't have much to share with you at the moment. I'm working on a mini album and that takes some time.
Unfortunately Treasure Scrapbooking has no kit this month, this is the last month that Erin is keeping the message board open, shop is already closed. Hopefully there will be a new buyer that will have it up and running soon.
This sunday the last sketch of Little Shop of Sketches will go online for this year. Tanya will continue next year februari with new sketches.

I will be back in a few days, take care and enjoy your creativity!
Hugs,
Mieke

Little Shop of Sketches

Hi, here is my layout for sketch #76 at Little Shop of Sketches.
I used lots of Bo Bunny, love this winter line.
The backround is made with Bazzil white cardstock, sprayed with Glimmer Mist and added some splashes with Glimmer Glaze.
I do love making my own backrounds!!

The rub-ons are also Bo Bunny's but from a few years ago, saved them for a special occasion and this was it! lol! The punch I've used is Martha Stewarts'. Don;t you just adore that trim? That trim was why I bought this line. So cute!

If you want to do the sketch, sent your take of it to Tanya or myself and you will be featured on the blog of Little Shop of Sketches.
Check ou the blog for more information about the prizes to win.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
Hugs,
Mieke

Playing with beeswax

I finally had some extra time to try out my Ranger Melting pot with the Beeswax. That's so much fun!
First you put a loose pan in the melting pot, then some beeswax and turn up the heat.

I wanted to work with some pretty old napkins I had still laying around to put on a square tag.
All you need is a larger brush, a napkin (only the top layer), a tag, a hot wax stylus tool and some Ranger Perfect Pearls.

Put the melted wax over the tag, that dries very fast.
Then put the napkin over your tag, just how you like it to be and start to go over it with your hot wax stylus tool. The wax under the napkin melts and "glues" your napkin to the tag.

Add some perfect pearls to the edges to get some shine and done is your tag.

I've done two sides cause I want to put it in a mini album as a small page.
Thanks for looking again!
Hugs,
Mieke
