Artful scrapbooking

Hi, back again with another layout, this time totally artful!
Have been playing with Gesso, then added some Beeswax and started spraying with Glimmer Mist. On top of that some Distress Ink and that was the base of this layout.
I found this new material to work with. Read about it in Somerset Studio and bought me some on Ebay. Within the week it was here.
It's called Tyvek, a very thin paper / plastic like A4 paper. It's white but you can make it any color you want. I've used some Glimmer Mist on it, then some Distress ink.
I sewed it on the paper and then the heating begun.
With the heat tool, the tyvek melts away into gaps.
It was so much fun! Can't wait to try a bigger piece!
The Watercolor collection paper is from Prima, also the Essential flowers, bought them on Ebay as well. (cheaper coming from the States then buying them in a Dutch online store!!!)

Supply list:
Prima watercolor collection paper and journaling stickers
Prima pearls crystals E-line
Bazzil white cardstock
Tim Holtz metal tag and "live" tag
Prima cardstock sticker Strawberry (alpha)

Chrochet flower by Marianne Design (dutch)

On a roll here - another layout

Just finished this layout yesterday, had so much fun working with different mediums.
I started with putting some pieces of paper from a book on the cardstock with modge podge.
When that was all dry, I used some gesso and glimmer mist in a soft pink and gold color.
I cut the edge from the die cut paper, the middle piece is cut in half.
Then I used lots of Distress Ink by Ranger and a big stamp
(sorry don't know what brand this is)
The punch is by Martha Stewart,
flowers by Prima.
I added some lace and a piece of Hambly.
And ofcourse the paper is by Nikki Sivils.

This was lots of fun. I love getting my hands dirty with gesso and stuff!
Tonight I finished another one with even more and a new product.
Have to take pics tomorrow when the weather is not too bad!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hi, you may have noticed that
SHE'S BACK! YEAH.........
LITTLE SHOP OF SKETCHES IS UP AND RUNNING AGAIN WITH THE WONDERFUL SKETCHES OF TANYA.
I made this layout with a big smile on my face. It's good to be back on this creative DT.
Tanya, thank you for the vote of convidence in me. *hugs*
Don't you just love this sketch? I sure did, here's my take of it.
I used the My Creative Scrapbook kit with lots of Little Yellow Bicycle and a little dash of Dear Lizzy.

Alpha is from Doodlebug

Flowers from Prima.
Have a look at the Lsos blog to see what the other girls created.
It look so good!
And playing with my Copic Markers I made this card

Paper : Tilda

Thank you for looking again and thanks for the comments, I love reading them!
Have a great weekend, it's going to be a wet one I'm afraid so no sitting in the sun but more time to scrap! I finally started on the sketch of Prima, playing with gesso and beeswax again. That is so much fun!! Just had a look and it dried up real nice. Now layering the papers and finding that photo to match.
Silly, it used to start with the photo, now it looks like I'm working on a layout and finding a photo that matches my work! Lol!

new layouts

Hi, how are you? I know it's been a while since I blogged but then I have been busy.
Scrappin' and working long hours.
So I have a few layouts to share, and there is more to show you later this week.
I picked up some Basic Grey at the local craft shop, love this Cappella paper. First a layout with a cute photo of our DS.
The ribbon and "you can fly" circle comes out of the stunning kit of My Creative Scrapbook.
The tag is Tim Holtz

The pin and metal were a gift, the clear journaling thingie is Maya Road, the red tag from Jenni Bowlin.

I also used a Prima stamps, I'm totally in love with the latest Prima stamps!! *heart*

And I made a layout with photo of my mum. I'm so proud of her.

A BG tag with Prima pearls

The two tags are made from BG paper, Distress Ink used for the edges and then stamped also with Distress Ink. Then I got out my hot tool and Beeswax. When that cooled down I sprayed the tags with Glimmer Mist in a blue color.

The stamps are softly coming through.

I splashed with a brush some Glimmer Mist that I sprayed on a plate.

And then for Nikki Sivils, I made this layout last month :

This week I made a second page with the same line "Ellie's Day Out".

All NS products except for the doiley and the Distress Ink.

Well, I'm off to scrap some more, another Nikki Sivils layout, and remember this friday there is a new sketch at Little Shop of Sketches and I must say, Tanya did a fantastic job on this one.
Enjoy your week and be creative!

Two layouts to share

Hi all, you know by now that I'm a huge Prima fan so I want to share two Prima layouts.
The first is of myself with our cat Smoes. My sweetie..... I cut out a lot of paper, so love to do that!

And added lots and lots of flowers, a pin with beads

Some bling,

More bling and a overlay by MME,

Even a peace of a bracelet. The heart is painted with MM and glazed with Rangers.

The second is not just Prima but I used the diecut sheet of Bo Bunny.
The colors go so well together.
The chipboard butterfly by Maya Road is painted with Blonde Moments and MM, heat embossed with Rangers black embossing powder.

Thank you so much for looking and leaving a comment.
I have some good news but can't tell you about it just yet!
And have you noticed on Facebook that Little Shop of Sketches is starting up again?
I love Tanya's sketches.
I started a card today with some Tilda paper and a mini album for Nikki Sivils.
have to work tomorrow so no time to scrap during the day. Our reception is moving to a temporary place, have to take my camera to work and take some pics.
Well, this is it for now. I wish you a wonderful weekend,
