Layout and some photo's

I found this wonderful sketch on Creative Scrappers, and you know how much I love sketches.
I had just received my printed photo's, these were printed a bit smaller then the usual size so they fitted just right for this layout. I'm so happy with my latest My Creative Scrapbook kit, full with Webster Pages Life Portrait. I cut out some and added some glitter with a clear Jelly Roll pen to it.
Sewed by hand.

I used a lot of Zva Creative this time. I must say it's a lot better then last year. I didn't have any trouble getting it of the sheets.

My mum and her friend Annemarie made this dress for Mara for the musical at school.
Can you tell she loved the dress? LoL!

I'm so glad it's such nice warm spring weather right now.
To have my backdoor open, drinking my tea outside.
Walking in the garden enjoying the new leaves and the flowers
I took my camera this morning and found some beauty of nature.

And I finally were able to shoot a picture of Mara, she's got teeth again!

She's so happy with her new (fake) teeth. It's only for show, she can't use them to bite.
We spend an hour with the dentist last tuesday. She was so brave!
Proud of my little girl.

Well, I'm off to sit in the sun for a while!
Enjoy your weekend and for tomorrow Happy Queensday!
Ps. You might know that this saturday may 1st is (inter)National Scrapbook Day and I have a little something in store for you all........
Just wait and see!!

Nikki Sivils layouts

Today is my turn to post on Nikki Sivils' blog. I've uploaded these layouts: Awe... it's been a long time since my kids shared a bottle! Lol! They were so cute here.
I believe this is taken in Zwolle at a garden centre. Was this our vacation with the kids and without the men Monique????
These layouts are full of the die-cuts you can find on Nikki's paper.

So love the burlap buttons!

This is the second layout, all about family.
Our American family came to Holland almost two years ago and it was so good to see them again.
Here we had lunch in Ermelo.

The flowers were in the Paper and Pictures bag that I won! They matched just perfect.

These are cut from the burlap buttons package, so cute!

With a little Magic Mesh

Alpha stamps by Pipoos (dutch craft store)

And here's my favorite:

Ever since I saw this paper line I knew I had to do something with this record.

Thank you so much for looking, I have more on the stories behind the photo's on Nikki's blog.
Have a great weekend!

Wish

Hi all, I have a card to share this time.
Our neighbours (and friends) have a new addition to the family, a little girl called Arwen.
She came so quickly and unexpected that I had no time to shop for something so I made them a card with this sweet girl image. I used Graphic 45 papers, that is so sweet for baby subjects.

Colored with Copic Markers.

Check out Tracie Hudsons blog today, you can find there a super sketch book as a give a way. You know I adore sketches, I so miss the ones from Tanya (little shop of sketches).
I do need to find me a new sketch DT!!! Lol!
Stay tuned for friday's episode of Nikki Sivils blog... have some layouts to show you.
Have a great week!

Prima workshop with Tracie Hudson

Last sunday Monique and I went to Paper and Pictures in Doorn to attend a workshopwith Prima's Tracie. We had so much fun and oooohhh those Prima papers, I love them all!
Already made several layouts with it myself and now two with Tracie. To me it was a workshop in speed, how to do two layouts in two hours..... It usually takes me a little bit longer because I want to ink it all and distress here and there.
The kit we got was full of the most gorgeous stuff. I was drooling all over it! Lol! Ofcourse I had to buy some more Prima things, a bit of Shabby Chic (no, didn't have that line yet!) some flowers, alpha's and a little bit of Fancy Pants.
Here's Monique with Tracie:
This is Tracie's layout
and this is mine
At home I added some little bits and pieces

We used a bit of the flower package, isn't this fun?

And this is the second layout, so sweet with that lace.

Here we used a flower vine, cut off the birds and attached them later on.

the pearls and pebble I put on later at home

When I got home, the alpha's were all fallen off. You really need to glue them down.

And guess who won the lottery?????

Yep, that's me!!! A big, big bag of Prima flowers....... Woooohhhhooooooo!

Now I'm off to bake some of our favorite brownies for Mara's school party tomorrow,
the cupcakes turned out a bit small, so I might just make some more......

Nikki Sivils layout

Hi, here another Nikki Sivils layout, "Bella Blue and Oscar too".
I made this (again) about our sweet doggie, she's such a great model.
For the journaling I used a pocket and added some stickers.
I'm so in love with these cute burlap buttons. They come in black, brown, red and blue.

The label is from the package of the burlap buttons, so cute!

The alpha is made with foam stamps

The journaling is about us getting Julie when she was 18 months old. She was raised by family, who wanted to breed with her but she tested positive on HD so they were looking for a good home and we were so happy with her.
We loved each other right away and she did not hesitate to jump into our car. She felt right at home. Kids used to lay their head on her watching tv and she didn't mind.
Now she's 11 years old and it's getting harder for her to walk because of her hip problems.
On good days, when the sun is shining and it's not wet, we can walk about 30 minutes in the forest, she still loves that, and so do I.
When my DH is not at home she really guards us and she barks really loud! Now the weather is getting warmer, she loves to lay in the garden and play a little with the cats.
Hope we can have her around for a while.
Thank you for looking and reading Julie's story.
