Julie, sweet angel and more Nikki Sivils

For my next layout I used a sketch from Scrapgal and this sure is a nice one.
The materials I used are from the januari kit of My Creative Scrapbook.

Can you see the Rock Candy Crackle Paint on the alpha?

and on the heart? Wonderful stuff to play with!

Lots of Distress Ink and some embossing powder on the tag

This is another layout made for Nikki Sivils for the CHA booth with the "Bella Blue and Oscar too" line. The round paper is 10x10 so easily to use on the backround paper.
Love these brads. A little birdie told me, if you need black ones just use some Alcohol ink on them and it gives a great effect.

I put some glue on the bread (less) tabs, then lots of glitter and finished it with Glossy Accents by Ranger.

See the burlap buttons, they are so cute. They are self adhesive.
for the flowers on the cardstock I used Glimmer Mist Pearl.
CHECK OUT JULIE TUCKER'S BLOG FOR A SUPER GIVE AWAY!!!
All you need to do is go to Nikki's gallery and tell Julie what your favorite DT project is, become a follower on Nikki's blog and also on Julie's (please also on mine.... Lol!) and you have a chance to win one of the 6 prices.

I had some fun making my own paper with fabric and tissue paper. The layout turned out nicely. Have to make photo's tomorrow and will show you soon.
So many plans, a black and white layout (Rock Candy, Glossy Accents and Stickles need to dry) is what I'm working on right now, then a boyish layout with BG.

Have a great weekend all!

Nikki Sivils at CHA

Look at that!
Thanks to Julie Tucker I can show you this photo of my work hanging at CHA in Nikki Sivils booth. I'm sooooo proud...... Thanks Julie! (do visit her blog and Nikki's, you can find there some great CHA photo's and info) This is the eh.... can you call this a layout..... before sending it off to the States.
remember I showed you the steps of how I made this frame?

Funny, I'm thanking Julie for the photo and her name shows up here.... Lol! Our German Shepard is called Julie as well!
On this bread(less) tab I put some Glossy Accents and sprinkled glitters on it.

I also made a card with U R My Favorite

Sorry for the blurry pic, see the cute button?

And a tag, sprayed with Glimmer Mist, then stamped on with clear ink using the U R My Favorite stamps and heat embossed with Blonde Moments.

And another layout using U R My Favorite

The brads are so cute. I made the flowers with two different Nestabilities dies, Shimmerz Paints and Glossy Accents by Ranger.

These are the new buttons
And two of the new lines
Flaming Butterfly

Willow Bee Thanks so much for looking, hope you like it!
Will show you more new lines and another CHA layout soon

Prima's sketch contest

So have you seen Prima's blog lately? OMG, there is so much beautiful things coming.
Wish I would be at CHA at the moment to see it all.
But instead I'm scrapping, found this sketch (due today so if you wanna play, hurry!).
10 photo's on one page, it sure is a lot.
I used photo's of our vacation of 2006, it was so hot, all we did was hanging around the pool and when we wanted to visit something we had to do it early in the morning.
I used the Prima papers "the Tropics" and lots of Distress ink on the edges. Shimmerz Paints on the edges of the paper pieces under the photo's, on the flowers and the butterflies. The butterflies are cut out with the Cuttlebug with a Spellbinders die. The crystals are also Prima's.

I sprayed some colors of Glimmer Mist on the Maya Road chipboard swirl and then did some heat embossing (Blond Moments) with a Tim Holtz stamp.

The alpha is from Pink Paislee (red) and Basic Grey (yellow).
thanks for looking!

Hugs, Mieke

Be you

Friday again, this week went by so fast. I have had some quality time to scrap.
I'm gonna show you the layout I made for the Page Call at Pagemaps. It would have been cool, but I didn't get an email so I guess I didn't make it. Lol!
It was a very nice sketch to work with, but I was a bit naughty by using 2 photo's instead of 3 as was asked. Aye....... I so wanted to use these photo's of Mara and they just were not small enough to use 3. Too bad!
I started with a white piece of Bazzil cardstock, sprayed Olive Vine Gllimmer Mist and added some Webster Pages papers.

The border is Bazzil sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist.

The Prima flowers were white, sprayed with Olive Vine and Creme de Chocolate then added some Burgundy Shimmerz Paints to the edges.
The crystals are Prima's, the ornament is MM.
Take a look at Moniques blog, she also did this sketch and it turned out so different but oh so pretty!
Thank you for looking and have a great weekend, were getting some more snow here!

This came last friday

Look at this, it's the January main kit of My Creative Scrapbook and it was delivered at my door last friday! I'm soooooooo happy with it. I was looking for the Tattered Angels cards for so long and now I can play with them. Already sprayed on with the gold and an orange color of Glimmer Mist. And look at those flowers. I know, I'm a flower addict........

The Lily Bee paper is so nice, going to make a layout with a photo of our dog.

Only two more months and Monique and I are going on a scrapweekend to Ommen. Do you know there's a brand new scrapstore there? Oh we're so lucky!!

Now I'm off to make a White Chocolate and ricotta cheesecake for Robin's birthday tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Scrappin' for myself

No sketch, not for a call, no kit or any other challenge. Finally a layout for myself. That's fun!
I used Jenni Bowlin, Basic Grey and Crate papers.
It's also about me, on one of my favorite horses.
Laine, she's such a sweetie but so big! I neede a chair to get on her back.
Lot's of Prima flowers and crystals.
Stiched with very sweet soft pink color from Tilda.
In the corner I did some heat embossing with black color.
Difficult color, see how it sticks even without ink?
Thanks for looking and keep warm!
